X-Men & X-Men ’97
The X-Men animated series is an iconic show from the 90’s, which had a continuation or revival few months ago with X-Men ’97 (released March 2024). The show was influenced by the “gold” era of the comics. Multiple eras actually and it had a lot of success by adapting many stories.
The opening song from the show goes really hard and was a perfect fit to accompany the animation. You had mutants with different powers, the conflict with humans and wars between different mutants as well. It was not a simple kids show with good VS evil, but rather something more complex, with a lot of gray areas.
About the original Theme
The original “X-Men Theme” from the X-Men Animated Series (1992) was composed originally by Ron Wasserman, though credited to Haim Saban and Shuki Levy. The new revival series, X-Men ’97 (2024), features a very similar opening with an orchestral part as well, made by The Newton Brothers. There are other variations of the song that play in a couple of movies and series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
