Revista Quantum – The Monstrous Side Of Dubstep

Revista Quantum is a music mag based at Buenos Aires, Argentina. Here is an excerpt from the interview.

We spoke with TSAS, Electro and Dubstep producer that explores the boundaries between genres electronics. Meet his story, tastes and musical influences, productions and news for the coming months.

TSAS … What is the story behind the name?
TSAS started with the idea of bringing something new to the music, with some level of impact, both musically and physically. The meaning behind “The Strange Algorithm Series” is genetically modified DNA, to create a new being. That’s how I (Dino) was born, and the monster bass growls (dinosaur growls) that you can hear in some of my dubstep tracks.

What DJs and producers are your biggest influences?
There are a few, but to name the most important: Skrillex, Deadmau5, Nero, Noisia, Knife Party.

What was your favorite track of 2013?
There are two tracks that, at least, deserve to be mentioned. “Mundus Theme” by Noisia, from the DMC Soundtrack. That song has a bass-line that is incredible! The other track is “We Are One” by Pegboard Nerds ft. Splitbreed. I think both songs are very well written and everyone should check them out.

What are you listening to lately?
I’ve been listening to Slipknot haha … They are a metal band and I love their sound.

Are you working on anything new?
I just finished a new single dubstep monster, published in mid-February by Brimotek Music label and will be available at major online stores. There is also an album on the way to the end of March securely and will contain some issues and facts and new material. So pay attention to my Facebook and Twitter! There will be great news soon.
